PHILANTHROPY & SUSTAINABILITY
111SKIN prioritises giving back via ongoing support of charities. Women for Women International is an inspirational organisation supporting women in the world’s most dangerous areas, including warzones and refugee communities. “Women for Women doesn’t only give money, but supports women in war regions with no education, by teaching 12-month vocational programs which help vulnerable women into employment, in turn building community.” Eva explains. The brand also supports further charities, and, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, donated skincare to NHS workers in gruelling conditions wearing layers of PPE, which irritated their skin.
“It was an easy choice for us,” says Eva. “We have the healing skincare, and our nurses who also work in the NHS, could distribute the products in hospitals.”
Since its launch, 111SKIN has been mindful of its ecological impact too, with ethically sourced ingredients, recyclable glass and card packaging, and always working towards all packaging being readily recyclable before 2024.
“We in the beauty industry have to do more,” says Eva, detailing how the brand minimises waste in shipping and distribution, and the ways its lab-synthesised ingredients create minimal impact on the environment. The brand also uses renewable energy in its offices.
“It’s simple really,” Eva says. “Everything we do is to help people. From giving clients the wonderful confidence in their skin to go makeup-free and show their personality, to giving back to the community and preserving the environment. It’s all in the 111SKIN DNA. It’s who we are.”
